What Is a Nasolabial Line? Why Does It Occur?
The nasolabial region is the fold line that descends from the edge of the nose to the corner of the lip, between the inner part of the cheek and the lip and nose. Due to the anatomical structure of the face, skin thickness, skin type and aging, sagging of the cheeks and falling of the cheekbones cause the nasolabial folds to deepen.
What is Nasolabial Filling?
Nasolabial filling is the filling procedure applied to eliminate the lines that occur over time in the nasolabial sulcus. When we laugh, the nasolabial region becomes prominent as the cheeks rise. Over time, this mimic line deepens. With the application of nasolabial filling, this line is filled and a younger appearance is given to the face.
How is Nasolabial Filling Performed?
Before the nasolabial filling application, the area is numbed with local anesthesia.
After the numbness is achieved, the filling material is injected into the nasolabial region at regular intervals. Thus, the deep lines around the mouth become indistinct and the patient gets a healthier and more vigorous appearance.
The nasolabial filling procedure takes approximately 5-10 minutes. After the nasolabial filling procedure, the patient can continue his/her normal life.
